This 32GB DDR4 ECC Registered RDIMM is built for servers, workstations and NAS systems that require registered memory with error correction. It will not work in standard desktop computers and cannot be mixed with unbuffered modules. Buyers who need non-ECC or unbuffered memory for a consumer platform should look elsewhere.

Registered ECC with 2Rx4 organisation

The module runs at DDR4 2666MHz (PC4-21300) with CL19 latency at 1.2V and uses a 2Rx4 rank configuration. JEDEC compliance and RoHS certification mean it matches the original Samsung M393A4K40BB2-CTD, M393A4K40CB2-CTD and M393A4K40DB2-CTD specifications exactly. Systems that require a different rank layout or voltage will not accept this part.

Sustained operation in multi-DIMM configs

Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing stable operation when many modules are populated over long periods. ECC corrects single-bit errors on the fly, preventing data corruption during continuous workloads. Backward compatibility with 2133MHz and 2400MHz buses lets the module down-clock without instability.
