This 64GB kit contains two 32GB DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 CL11 registered ECC modules built for Lenovo ThinkStation C30, D30 and S30 workstations. The 240-pin DIMMs run at 1.5V with a 4Rx4 organisation and meet JEDEC and RoHS standards. They are designed for server and workstation platforms that require registered memory and will not function in standard desktop systems or alongside unbuffered modules.

Thermals and power in daily use

The modules operate at the standard 1.5V DDR3 voltage without a heat spreader, relying on the workstation's existing airflow for cooling. Registered ECC designs typically draw slightly more power than unbuffered equivalents due to the register circuitry, but the increase remains within the platform's original thermal envelope. No additional fan speed or case modification is required for normal workloads.
