Server ECC RDIMM kit

This 64 GB kit contains two 32 GB DDR4 2400 ECC registered RDIMMs built for the Cisco HX220c M4 and HX240c M4. It targets administrators upgrading those specific servers or compatible workstations and NAS systems that require registered ECC memory. The modules will not work in standard desktop platforms or alongside unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs.

Capacity and headroom

Each module delivers 32 GB at 2400 MT/s with CL17 latency and 1.2 V operation, giving a total of 64 GB per two-slot pair. This density suits virtualisation hosts, database nodes and memory-heavy analytics workloads on the supported Cisco platforms. The registered buffer adds electrical load that limits maximum DIMM count per channel, so total system capacity depends on the server's memory architecture.

DDR4 2400 registered interface

The PC4-19200 interface runs at 2400 MT/s with a registered clock driver that stabilises signalling at higher densities. Bandwidth scales with populated channels, but the registered protocol introduces one extra cycle of latency compared with unbuffered DDR4. JEDEC-compliant timing and 1.2 V operation keep power draw predictable within the server's thermal envelope.
