ThinkStation P5 DDR5 ECC kit

This 64GB kit contains two 32GB DDR5 4800 CL40 registered DIMMs built for the Lenovo ThinkStation P5. It delivers 1.1V ECC registered memory that meets JEDEC PC5-38400 specifications for workstation reliability. The modules are not compatible with standard desktop platforms or with unbuffered and load-reduced ECC memory types.

Sustained workload behaviour

ECC registered operation corrects single-bit errors and detects multi-bit errors during continuous compute tasks, keeping data integrity intact over long runs. The 2Rx8 organisation spreads accesses across two ranks per module, helping the memory controller maintain throughput under steady load. JEDEC-standard voltage and timing ensure stable operation without manual tuning.

Installation notes

Insert both 288-pin DIMMs into the ThinkStation P5 slots following the platform’s population order; no heat spreaders are present, so clearance is not a concern. Mixing these registered modules with unbuffered or load-reduced ECC DIMMs will prevent the system from posting. Verify the workstation requires registered ECC before purchasing, as standard desktop boards cannot use this kit.
