Synology NAS memory upgrade

This 8 GB DDR4 SODIMM is built for Synology DiskStation DS220+, DS420+, DS423+, DS720+ and DS920+ units. It adds capacity to the single slot in these NAS models, letting them handle more simultaneous file operations and container workloads.

JEDEC-standard unbuffered module

The stick follows PC4-21300 timing at CL19 and runs at 1.2 V without a heat spreader. Its 260-pin edge connector fits the SO-DIMM socket directly, and the module is backwards compatible with 2400 MHz and 2133 MHz bus speeds if the system requires a lower frequency.

Low-voltage operation for quiet NAS use

At 1.2 V the module draws minimal power, keeping internal temperatures low in the passively cooled DiskStation chassis. No fan or active cooling is needed on the memory itself, so the upgrade adds performance without increasing system noise.
