Targeted Compatibility

The Phanteks Glacier EZ-Fit G40 water block is built exclusively for ASUS ROG Strix and TUF Gaming RTX 4090 graphics cards. It replaces the factory air cooler on these specific models to enable a custom liquid cooling loop. The nickel-plated copper base makes direct contact with the GPU die, memory modules, and power delivery components. This block is not for owners of Founders Edition cards, other partner models, or any GPU outside the listed ASUS SKUs.

Thermal Headroom

A 10mm thick pure copper cold plate sits over the core, using a 0.6mm micro-fin array and a clear jetplate to maximise heat transfer from the 4090 GPU. The full-cover design extends cooling to the 24GB memory and VRM areas, removing the thermal limits that throttle sustained boost clocks under air. Acrylic and matte white aluminum covers seal the flow path with EPDM O-rings and Viton rubber washers to maintain pressure and prevent leaks. Builders needing to cool multiple cards or different GPU generations cannot use this block.

Integrated Lighting And Fittings

Digital-RGB illumination runs along the transparent top, driven by standard JST connectors that link to Phanteks D-RGB ecosystems or motherboard addressable-RGB headers. Low-profile nickel-plated brass fittings with ABS inserts sit flush to improve case clearance, while an included GPU support bracket counters sag from the heavy block. Users without compatible RGB headers or who prefer hard-tube fittings not included in the package will need separate adapters or controllers.
