Only components that share this exact thread pitch and depth will seal correctly. The installed base height of fifteen millimetres determines how far the fitting sits from the mounting surface. Builders using other thread standards cannot use this part without adapters.

If your loop needs exactly that much standoff to clear a neighbouring block or radiator, the fitting works.
