Replaces non-ECC or slower DDR4 UDIMMs

The jump is worthwhile when data integrity matters for databases, virtualization or long-running compute jobs. Systems already limited to 2666 MHz will see no speed gain, but they gain single-bit error correction. Builders needing registered DIMMs or higher capacities must look elsewhere.

Sustained load behaviour

Continuous throughput stays at the rated 2666 MT/s because the unbuffered path avoids register latency. ECC scrubbing corrects single-bit errors on the fly without halting the CPU. The 1.2 V draw limits heat rise during extended multi-threaded workloads.
