Intel Xeon Silver 4510 Server

The Supermicro 521E-E1CR24H-G1-OTO-66 is a new rack-mount server system built around a single Intel Xeon Silver 4510 processor. It supports up to 16 DDR5-5600 ECC memory modules in a single-socket LGA-4677 design with a thermal ceiling of 300W. The platform targets organisations that need dense, local storage capacity in a standard server form factor.

24-Bay Storage and Expansion

The chassis provides 24 hot-swap 3.5-inch bays for SAS3 or SATA3 drives plus two rear SATA slots and four optional rear NVMe slots. Two M.2 2280 sockets accept NVMe or SATA modules while a 3908 controller occupies one PCIe 5.0 slot by default. Two OCP 3.0 compliant AIOM slots and up to six PCIe 5.0 slots give flexibility for networking and accelerator cards.

IPMI Management for Remote Ops

Integrated IPMI 2.0 with KVM and media redirection over LAN lets administrators manage the server remotely without a local console. Buyers who need dual-socket compute density or GPU-heavy configurations should evaluate other platforms. Teams requiring fibre-channel connectivity or pre-installed hypervisor licences will need to source those separately.
