Dual Xeon 1U server for dense compute

The Supermicro SYS-6018U-TR4T+ is a 1U rackmount system equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4 processors, each delivering 18 cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.3 GHz turbo. It ships with 768 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 24 DIMM slots. The platform targets virtualization, high-performance computing and cloud workloads that demand high core counts and large memory capacity in a single rack unit.

Upgrades from single-socket or lower-core systems

Moving to dual 18-core Xeon v4 processors doubles the thread count and memory channels compared with single-socket configurations, while the 9361-8i RAID controller adds hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1 GB cache and battery backup. The jump is worth it when workloads exceed the memory bandwidth or core density of a single processor and require hardware RAID redundancy across multiple drives.

Fits a 1U rack with redundant power and 10 GbE

The chassis provides four hot-plug 3.5-inch SATA/SAS drive bays and quad 10GBase-T RJ45 ports via the Intel X540 controller. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power. IPMI 2.0 with a dedicated LAN port enables KVM-over-LAN and virtual media for remote management. The Matrox G200 GPU supplies basic video output with 8 MB memory. Front bezel and rack rails are not included.
