The Supermicro SYS-6028U-TR4T+ is a 2U rackmount server fitted with two Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors. Each CPU provides 14 cores at 2.4 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64 GB of DDR4 ECC memory across four 16 GB modules and a MegaRAID 9361-8i controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Twelve hot-swap 3.5″ drive trays accept SATA or SAS drives.

The storage subsystem is defined by twelve front-accessible 3.5″ trays connected to an 8-port SAS 12 Gb/s RAID card with 1 GB cached battery backup. This combination sets the maximum number of direct-attached drives and the RAID levels available without adding an expander. Memory capacity reaches 1.5 TB across 24 DIMM slots for future expansion.
