Dual 14-core Xeon 2U server

The Supermicro SYS-6028U-TR4T+ is a 2U rackmount server system populated with two Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors. Each CPU provides 14 cores at 2.4 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo frequency. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. It is built for organisations that need dense compute and storage in a standard rack footprint.

Suited for virtualization hosts.

This server suits teams consolidating virtual machines, running databases or hosting private-cloud services where core count, memory capacity and 10 GbE networking matter. The onboard Matrox G200 graphics with 8 MB video memory and the absence of PCIe expansion details make it a poor fit for workloads that require GPU acceleration, high-end visualisation or additional accelerator cards.

Twelve hot-swap bays with hardware RAID

Twelve front-accessible 3.5-inch trays accept SATA or SAS drives and connect to an LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Quad 10GBase-T ports on the Intel X540 adapter provide high-speed network connectivity. Dual 1000 W titanium-efficiency hot-swap power supplies deliver redundancy. A dedicated IPMI 2.0 LAN port enables remote KVM and virtual media management. Rack rails and front bezel are not included.
