260W single-tower air cooler

The Thermaltake UX500 ARGB is a 120mm single-tower CPU air cooler rated for up to 260W of heat dissipation. It uses five 6mm direct-touch copper heatpipes bonded to an aluminium fin stack. A hydraulic-bearing 120mm PWM fan spins between 700 and 1800 RPM to deliver 62.72 CFM at a maximum of 25.0 dBA. The cooler ships in black with addressable RGB lighting on the fan frame.

Check socket clearance and ARGB header

Verify that your motherboard uses one of the listed Intel LGA sockets from 1150 through 1851 or AMD sockets from AM2 through AM5. The horizontal fan mounting means the cooler extends over the first memory slot; confirm your memory modules fit beneath the fin stack without interference. Ensure your board provides a 5V 3-pin ARGB header (2510 4-pin) to control the lighting; a standard 4-pin PWM fan header is also required for speed control.

Hydraulic bearing and non-interference layout

The hydraulic bearing reduces friction for quieter long-term operation compared with sleeve bearings. The single-tower fin array and horizontal fan mount keep the cooler height compatible with most mid-tower cases while leaving the top memory slots clear. At more than 450g the unit is substantial but within typical motherboard mounting limits. ARGB illumination is powered separately from the fan motor, so lighting stays consistent regardless of fan speed.
