Compatible 2017 iMac upgrade

This 16 GB kit contains two 8 GB DDR4 SODIMM modules built with Hynix ICs. Fits the SO-DIMM slots directly

Each module uses the standard 260 pin DDR4 SO-DIMM form factor measuring 30 mm by 69.6 mm. No adapter or bracket is required; the sticks install into the existing memory slots accessible behind the iMac memory door. The unbuffered non-ECC design matches the architecture used in the compatible iMac 18,1, 18,2 and 18,3 identifiers. Builders needing ECC or registered memory cannot use this kit.

Runs at 1.2 V with CL17 timing

The modules operate at DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) with a CAS latency of 17 at the standard 1.20 V voltage. This voltage matches the factory specification for the supported iMacs so no additional cooling or voltage adjustment is needed. The low voltage helps keep thermal output minimal inside the sealed enclosure. Systems requiring higher frequencies or lower latencies will not benefit from this specific speed grade.
