Installation and common issues

The 1U rack-mountable chassis includes mounting hardware and rubber feet for desktop use. An external power supply accepts 100-240 V AC at 50/60 Hz and delivers 12 V at 1.25 A with a four-foot cord. Four international plug adapters cover North America, Europe, UK and Australia. Installers should verify that the supplied DB9F-to-RJ45 crossover adapters match the pinout of the target Cisco equipment to avoid communication failures.

Cellular and Ethernet limits

The integrated 4G LTE modem provides a fallback path but throughput depends entirely on carrier signal quality and data plan limits. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports operate at 1000Base-X over twisted pair cabling. The four serial ports and four USB ports share the single management gateway bandwidth. PoE is not available on the RJ-45 ports so connected serial devices require their own power sources.
