Desktop gaming system

The Velztorm Ferrux is a new desktop built around a 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X processor and a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed and a 750W power supply drives the components.

Capacity and headroom

The 32GB DDR4 allocation gives comfortable headroom for current games and multitasking workloads. The 4TB NVMe drive stores a large library without frequent cleanup. The RTX 3050 with 8GB GDDR6 handles 1080p gaming but runs out of frame-buffer and compute resources at higher resolutions or maximum ray-tracing settings.

Build and connectivity

A 240mm AIO liquid cooler with RGB lighting manages CPU thermals inside the black chassis. The rear I/O provides 2 USB 3.0 Type-A, 4 USB 3.1 Gen2, 2 USB 2.0, one USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2, HDMI, DisplayPort and a combo audio jack. Wired Ethernet is included while Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are absent.
