PCIe x1 to four USB 3.0 ports

The Vszerda expansion card adds four USB 3.0 connections to a desktop through a single PCIe x1 slot. It uses the VIA VL805 controller to deliver up to 5 Gbps per port. Two Type-A ports sit on the rear bracket and one 20-pin header feeds a front-panel connector. The card is aimed at users who need more USB 3.0 ports without occupying additional expansion slots.

Fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots

The card accepts any PCIe slot from x1 to x16, so it works in most desktop motherboards. It draws all power from the slot itself using built-in self-powered technology with an individual 2A supply, removing the need for extra power cables. Each port has separate over-current and short-circuit protection. Windows 8 and 10 recognise the card automatically, while Windows 7 and earlier require a driver install.

Sustained 5 Gbps across all ports

The VL805 controller lets all four USB 3.0 ports operate at full speed simultaneously rather than sharing a single 5 Gbps lane. Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 devices is maintained. The card does not support Linux operating systems. No external power connector is required, so the card stays self-sufficient during long file transfers or continuous peripheral use.
