Dual-bay SATA dock for 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives

The Wavlink ST334U accepts two SATA I, II or III hard drives or solid-state drives up to 6 TB each, giving a total of 12 TB of accessible storage. It connects to a host computer through a USB 3.0 port that delivers up to 5 Gbps transfer rates and also provides an external SATA connector for direct connection. The dock is aimed at technicians, data-recovery labs and home users who need quick, tool-free access to bare drives.

Fits into a USB 3.0 port

No internal drive bay, mounting rails or case clearance are required because the drives sit vertically in the open cradles. Hot-swapping is supported, so drives can be inserted or removed while the system is running. The USB 3.0 link supplies both data and device power for the controller, while the separate AC adapter powers the drives themselves, freeing the host port from high-current demands.

Sustained transfers run at USB 3.0 line speed

The AS Media bridge chip handles continuous read and write streams at up to 5 Gbps, and the plastic chassis relies on passive airflow through the open bays. Offline cloning copies data drive-to-drive without a PC connection, with LED indicators showing progress. Because there is no fan, the dock remains silent, but thermal throttling may appear on very long, high-throughput jobs with mechanical drives.
