Standard SATA Installation

Installation follows the usual 3.5-inch SATA pattern: secure the drive in a compatible bay, attach the data cable to a SATA 6.0Gb/s port and connect the power lead. The drive measures 147.00mm long, 101.60mm wide and 26.10mm high, so the mounting cage must accept those maximum dimensions. Enterprise firmware may require a controller that supports TLER or equivalent error-recovery settings; without it the drive can drop from a RAID array during prolonged rebuilds.
