USB 3.0 to IDE & SATA Adapter
This adapter connects 2.5" and 3.5" IDE or SATA hard drives to a computer through a USB 3.0 port. It supports simultaneous access to three drives for data transfer, duplication, or backup. Compatible with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux systems. The kit includes connectors for 40-pin and 44-pin IDE drives plus a SATA connector.
5 Gbps USB 3.0 Interface Limit
The USB 3.0 interface provides a theoretical maximum transfer rate of 5 Gbps. Actual throughput will be lower due to protocol overhead and the speed limits of the attached mechanical drives. The adapter is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports, which will further reduce transfer speeds significantly.
6 TB Drive Capacity Support
The adapter supports individual drives up to 6 TB in capacity, allowing access to large archival storage volumes. Drives exceeding this capacity are not supported by this device. The LED indicator shows power and activity status for monitoring drive operation during use.

Fragen zu diesem Artikel
Should I choose this adapter for a 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drive?
The adapter fits both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA or IDE drives, so you can use it with either form factor.
What does the 5 Gbps figure mean when I copy files?
5 Gbps is the USB 3.0 interface ceiling; real-world throughput will be lower and depends on the drive speed and system overhead.
Which USB standard does it use and what does that limit?
It uses USB 3.0, capping the link at 5 Gbps while remaining backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports.
