Purpose-built desktop

This desktop arrives with a 14-core Intel Core Ultra 5 245K processor, 32GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card with 16GB of video memory. The combination targets gamers and content creators who need strong single-thread performance and modern ray-tracing capability in a single pre-built system. Windows 11 Pro is installed and the chassis is a black mid-tower with tempered glass panels.

Interface ceiling

The motherboard provides one Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port, one USB 20Gbps Type-C port, three USB 10Gbps ports and three USB 5Gbps ports at the rear, plus an internal USB 20Gbps Type-C header and a USB 5Gbps header. Network connectivity tops out at Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 2x2 with Bluetooth 5.4. Storage uses two 4TB Samsung 990 PRO drives on PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, delivering sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. Four SATA 6Gbps ports remain available for additional drives.

Build practicalities

A 240mm liquid cooler handles the CPU while the case includes three 140mm fans rated at 1500rpm and 30dBA each for front and rear airflow. The Thermaltake Toughpower 1000W 80 PLUS Gold unit supplies power with over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection.
