Professional workstation card

The AMD FirePro W5000 is a single-slot, full-height graphics card built on the GCN 1st Gen architecture. It delivers 2GB of 256-Bit GDDR5 memory and a 75W TGP for entry-level professional visualisation tasks. Certified drivers target ISV applications in CAD, DCC and medical imaging. Two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs drive up to two displays at 4096 x 2160 resolution.

Step up from integrated graphics

This card replaces onboard graphics or older workstation GPUs that lack DirectX 11.1 and OpenGL 4.2 support. The jump is justified when you need certified drivers, 256-Bit memory bandwidth or multi-display 4096 x 2160 output. It also adds a 3-pin stereo connector for compatible workflows. PCI Express 3.0 x16 bandwidth removes the system-memory bottleneck typical of integrated solutions.

Single-slot PCIe 3.0 x16 fit

The board installs in any PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and occupies only one expansion slot, leaving adjacent slots free for capture cards or additional I/O. No auxiliary power connector is required; the 75W TGP is supplied entirely through the slot. Two DisplayPort 1.2 cables connect directly to modern monitors without adapters. Multi-GPU support is available for configurations that scale beyond two displays.
