Threadripper sTR4 workstation board
The ASRock Fatal1ty X399 Professional Gaming mounts first- and second-generation Ryzen Threadripper CPUs in an ATX form factor. Eight DDR4 slots support quad-channel memory up to 128 GB with overclocked speeds reaching DDR4 3600. The board targets creators and engineers who need high core counts and large memory capacity.
15µ gold PCIe contacts and triple M.2
Primary and fourth PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots feature 15µ gold contacts for durable graphics card seating. Two Ultra M.2 sockets accept 2242, 2260 and 2280 modules running at PCIe Gen3 x4 or SATA 6.0 Gb/s. A third M.2 socket adds 2230 support while a vertical Key E slot holds the bundled Wi-Fi 802.11 ac module.
Quad-channel DDR4 and PCIe 3.0 ceiling
Memory tops out at DDR4 3600 with overclocking; native JEDEC speeds stop at 2667. PCI Express remains at version 3.0, limiting x16 slots to 16 GT/s per lane and M.2 storage to 32 Gb/s. Eight SATA3 ports and dual Intel I211AT plus AQUANTIA AQC107 LAN provide connectivity within those bandwidth bounds.
