This ASRock Z590 STEEL LEGEND board fits LGA 1200 processors from the 10th and 11th generations. It uses the Intel Z590 chipset and a 14 phase power design to support unlocked K-series CPUs. The ATX form factor provides four DDR4 slots, three PCI Express 3.0 x1 slots and six SATA 6Gb/s ports for storage expansion.

CPU generation decides PCI Express 4.0

With an 11th Gen Core i9, i7 or i5 installed the top PCI Express x16 slot runs at Gen4x16 and the Hyper M.2 socket reaches Gen4x4 64 Gb/s, while DDR4 can reach 4800+(OC) and 3200 native. A 10th Gen Core i9 or i7 limits the primary slot to Gen3x16, caps the M.2 at Gen3x4 and restricts DDR4 to 4666+(OC) with 2933 native; Core i5, i3, Pentium or Celeron drop native DDR4 further to 2666.

Standard ATX install with POST checker and full

The board mounts with regular ATX standoffs and uses a 24-pin plus 8-pin CPU power layout. A Full Coverage M.2 heatsink covers the primary slot so the drive stays cool without extra parts. The POST Status Checker displays two-digit codes for quick troubleshooting, and Full Spike Protection guards USB, audio and LAN ports against surges.
