Workstation Foundation
The ASUS Pro WS W890E-SAGE SE is an EEB form-factor motherboard built for Intel Xeon 600 series processors in the LGA 4710 socket. It targets professional workstations that need maximum PCIe lane count, ECC DDR5 memory support and server-grade remote management for continuous operation.
Thermal and Power Delivery
A 16+(2+2)+1+2 stage power design feeds the CPU through two 8-pin and two 8-pin PCIe-to-CPU connectors, with additional 8-pin PCIe power inputs for dual PSU configurations. Active cooling covers the VRM, chipset, M.2 slots and memory, while five chassis fan headers, a dedicated pump header and VRM fan headers provide granular airflow control.
Build Integration
The board occupies a 12.0 x 13.0 inch footprint and requires an EEB-compatible chassis with matching mounting points. Seven PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, four M.2 slots, MCIO and SlimSAS connectors free up expansion space for GPUs, storage arrays and high-speed interconnects.
