Intel LGA 1851 Platform
This ATX motherboard fits Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors on the LGA 1851 socket with the Z890 chipset. Four DDR5 slots accept up to 256 GB in dual-channel mode. It targets builders who need strong overclocking headroom and extensive high-speed I/O for workstation or enthusiast workloads.
PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 Lane Distribution
The primary x16 slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x16 or x8/x4/x4; enabling M.2_3 or M.2_4 drops it to x8. A second x16 slot operates at PCIe 4.0 x4 from the chipset. One PCIe 4.0 x1 slot and four SATA 6 Gb/s ports complete the expansion map. Three M.2 sockets support 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 drives; the top slot uses CPU PCIe 5.0 x4, the others use chipset PCIe 4.0 x4.
22+2+1+2 Power Stages and Connectivity
The VRM uses 22 stages rated at 110 A, two at 90 A, one at 90 A and two at 80 A, fed by ProCool II headers. Rear I/O includes 5 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, WiFi 7, Thunderbolt 4 and multiple USB Type-C ports. 7.1-channel audio and AI-assisted overclocking, cooling and networking utilities round out the feature set.
