PCIe 5.0 limited to CPU generation

Ryzen 7000 and 9000 CPUs enable one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot at 2280 length. Ryzen 8000 CPUs drop the primary slot to PCIe 4.0 x8 or x4 and the top M.2 to PCIe 4.0, so peak throughput depends on the processor installed.

Steps up from B650 boards without PCIe 5.0

The upgrade adds a 5.0 x16 graphics slot, a 5.0 M.2 slot, Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5 Gb LAN and a front USB 20Gbps Type-C header. The jump is worth it when you need that extra bandwidth headroom for current or near-future GPUs and fast storage.
