Socket AM5 platform
The ASUS TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI motherboard is built for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series processors. It supports up to 192GB of DDR5 memory across four 288-pin slots and runs dual-channel at speeds up to 8000+ MT/s with EXPO and AEMP profiles. A 14+2+1 80A DrMOS power stage array on an 8-layer PCB delivers stable current for high-core-count CPUs.
Thermals and power delivery
Enlarged VRM heatsinks, three M.2 heatsinks and a PCH heatsink form the core of the cooling solution. Hybrid fan headers connect to Fan Xpert 4 software for automated curve control. Dual 8+8 pin ProCool connectors feed the 80A power stages, keeping voltage steady under sustained multi-threaded workloads without excessive acoustic output.
DIY features and connectivity
PCIe Slot Q-Release and M.2 Q-Latch simplify GPU and SSD installation. Q-Dashboard and Q-LED give instant component-status feedback, while BIOS FlashBack updates firmware without a CPU. Rear I/O includes Wi-Fi 7, 2.5Gb Ethernet, USB 20Gbps Type-C, HDMI and DisplayPort. A front USB 10Gbps Type-C header and Thunderbolt (USB4) header are also provided.
