The ATTO ThunderLink FC 3322 is a dual-port Thunderbolt 3 to 32Gb/s Fibre Channel adapter built for mobile workstations and laptops. Two optical SFP+ LC modules are included in the box for immediate fibre connectivity. The unit delivers the maximum line rate of Thunderbolt 3 at 40Gb/s across its two ports. Advanced Data Streaming technology optimises data flow for demanding storage workloads.

Suited to Thunderbolt 3 laptops needing dual

Professionals who require failover or load balancing across two 32Gb, 16Gb or 8Gb Fibre Channel paths will benefit from the dual-channel design and MultiPath Director support. Buyers whose systems lack Thunderbolt 3 ports cannot use this adapter. Users needing copper SFP+ modules or single-port FC connectivity should look at other solutions. The desktop-style chassis also makes it unsuitable for strict ultra-portable carry-on scenarios.

Desktop setup with external power

Installation consists of connecting the included power supply, attaching the appropriate 110V US or EU and UK power cord, linking the Thunderbolt 3 cables to the host, and inserting the pre-installed optical SFPs into the Fibre Channel fabric. The unit is not bus-powered so a mains outlet is mandatory. Daisy-chaining additional Thunderbolt devices is supported through the second Thunderbolt 3 port. Driver installation follows standard ATTO procedures for the host operating system.
