2.5" to 3.5" Server Drive Adapter

This adapter combo includes a 3.5" drive tray and a 2.5" to 3.5" converter for Dell PowerEdge T330 and other T&R series servers. It lets you install a 2.5" SATA or SAS SSD into a 3.5" hot-swap drive cage. The tray uses the KG1CH and 9W8C4 form factors for direct compatibility.

Upgrade from fixed 3.5" drives

The kit replaces a standard 3.5" drive carrier so you can use faster or denser 2.5" solid-state drives in the same bay. The jump is worth it when you need SSD performance or lower power draw in a server that only accepts 3.5" hot-swap trays. Tool-free tray installation

The adapter seats inside the 3.5" tray and the assembly slides into the hot-swap cage without tools. Alignment pins on the KG1CH tray match the server chassis guides. What usually goes wrong is inserting the 2.5" drive upside down or leaving the adapter loose, which prevents the tray from locking securely.
