This 2U rack server ships with one Intel Gold 6148 processor running at 2.4 GHz and 20 cores. It includes 64 GB of DDR4 memory in a 4 x 16 GB configuration. Four 1.2 TB 10K SAS drives are managed by an H730P RAID controller. The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch drive bays and up to eight PCIe Gen 3 slots. Remote management is handled by iDRAC9 Enterprise. Dual 10 Gb and dual 1 Gb RJ45 ports are built in. A redundant 1100 W power supply, rails, bezel and power cords are included.

Suited for virtualisation hosts and database nodes

The single-socket layout and 64 GB memory fit workloads that need strong per-thread performance and moderate capacity. The four 1.2 TB SAS drives give fast local storage for active datasets. Buyers who need more than 64 GB of RAM, a second processor or additional drive bays beyond the eight 2.5-inch slots should look at a different configuration. The server has no optical drive and is not eligible for export, which may limit some deployments.

Single Gold 6148 20-core processor

The installed CPU is the only processor in the system and cannot be paired with a second socket in this configuration. It delivers 20 cores at 2.4 GHz with 27.5 MB cache. All other capabilities such as memory expansion, PCIe slot count and storage capacity depend on this single-socket foundation.
