The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server built for dense compute workloads. It ships with two Intel Gold 6438Y+ processors, each running at 2.0GHz with 32 cores and 60M cache. The system includes 256GB of DDR4 memory across 16 modules rated at PC5-4800. Four 480GB SATA SSDs and an H755 MX RAID controller provide the initial storage foundation.

Compute density suits virtualised workloads

This blade suits environments that need high core counts in a compact form factor, such as virtualisation clusters or container platforms. The 64 total cores and large memory capacity support heavy multi-tenant workloads. Buyers who need more than six 2.5-inch drive bays or require integrated fabric switches should look at alternative configurations, as the modular I/O bays for Fabrics A, B and C are not included. Remote management is handled by iDRAC9 Express.

Six 2.5-inch drive bays limit internal expansion

The chassis provides a maximum of six 2.5-inch drive bays, with four currently populated by 480GB SATA SSDs. This physical constraint determines how much additional local storage can be added without external arrays. The H755 MX controller manages the installed drives and any future additions within the available bays. Network connectivity includes a Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card with dual 25Gb ports.
