Half-width blade server with dual 16-core CPUs

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server fitted with two Intel Gold 6526Y processors running at 2.8 GHz, each providing 16 cores and 37.5 MB cache. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 memory arranged as eight 16 GB PC5-5600 modules. Four 2.4 TB 10 K SAS drives are installed and managed by an H755 MX RAID controller. A Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card supplies dual 25 Gb connectivity.

Suited for dense compute in a shared chassis

This blade targets workloads that need high core counts and fast local storage within a modular enclosure, such as virtualisation clusters, database nodes or HPC tasks. Buyers who require more than six 2.5-inch drive bays or who need integrated fabric switches should look elsewhere, as the fabric bays are not included and the chassis limits total bays to six. The single mezzanine card also restricts I/O expansion compared with dual-card configurations.

Six 2.5-inch drive bays maximum

The chassis provides a hard limit of six 2.5-inch drive bays, of which four are populated with 2.4 TB SAS drives. This ceiling decides whether the server can meet your storage density requirement without external arrays.
