Blade server for dense compute

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade that fits into a shared chassis. Dual Intel Gold 6434 processors deliver 16 cores at 3.7 GHz with 22.5 MB cache each. 512 GB of DDR4 memory is populated across 16 modules running at 4800 MT/s. The platform targets workloads that need high core counts and large memory capacity in a compact form factor.

Storage and networking bundle

Four 480 GB SATA SSDs are pre-installed behind the H755 MX RAID controller, providing hardware RAID across up to six 2.5-inch drive bays. A single MX Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card adds two 25 Gb CNA ports for converged network and storage traffic. Remote management is handled by iDRAC9 Express for out-of-band monitoring and control.

Capacity headroom and limits

The 512 GB DDR4 configuration suits virtualisation clusters, in-memory databases and heavy container densities. Storage headroom allows two additional 2.5-inch drives to be added to the six-bay chassis. Fabric A, B and C switch or pass-through modules are not included, so east-west bandwidth and storage fabric connectivity must be provisioned separately. Buyers who need more than six drive bays or integrated fabric modules will need a different chassis configuration.
