Half-width compute sled for dense clusters

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server built for rack environments that need high core counts in a compact form factor. Two Intel Gold 6448Y processors deliver 64 cores total at 2.1 GHz with 60 MB cache each. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4 memory across eight 16 GB modules running at 4800 MT/s. It targets organisations running virtualised workloads, databases or high-performance computing jobs that benefit from many threads in a single slot.

Dual 2.4 TB SAS drives and H755 MX controller

A pair of 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives provides fast rotational storage out of the box. The H755 MX RAID controller manages those drives and supports additional bays up to the chassis limit of six 2.5-inch devices. No optical drive is fitted, leaving all front bays available for storage expansion. The iDRAC9 Express remote management module gives administrators out-of-band access for monitoring, firmware updates and power control without needing a dedicated console connection.

Fabric bays and 25 Gb mezzanine card not included

The chassis offers up to two pairs of redundant general-purpose fabric bays for Fabrics A and B, plus a redundant pair of storage-specific bays for Fabric C, but none of those switch or pass-through modules are supplied with this unit. A single MX Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card provides two 25 Gb CNA ports for converged network traffic. Buyers who need additional fabric connectivity or different networking speeds must source the appropriate fabric modules separately.
