Blade compute node for dense rack deployments

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server that fits into a shared MX chassis. Dual Intel Gold 6434 processors run at 3.7GHz with eight cores each, delivering 16 cores total for virtualised workloads. 512GB of DDR4 memory across 16 modules at 4800 MT/s supports large memory footprints. The node targets data centres that consolidate compute in a modular fabric.

Six SATA SSDs and a hardware RAID controller

Six 1.92TB SATA SSDs come installed in the 2.5-inch drive bays. The H755 MX controller provides hardware RAID across those drives without consuming a PCIe slot. iDRAC9 Express enables remote firmware updates and power control from a separate management network. No optical drive is present, so OS installation relies on network boot or USB media.

Modular I/O bays and 25Gb mezzanine networking

The blade exposes up to two pairs of redundant general-purpose fabric bays for switch or pass-through modules, plus a redundant pair of storage-specific bays; none are included. A Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card supplies two 25Gb CNA ports for converged traffic. This layout lets administrators tailor fabric connectivity per workload while keeping cabling inside the chassis.
