The Dell PowerEdge R630 is a 1U rack server fitted with two Xeon E5-2690 v4 processors running at 2.6GHz, each offering 14 cores and 35MB cache. It ships with 512GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed, expandable to 1.5TB. The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch drive bays and a PERC H730 SAS controller for RAID management. Remote administration is handled by iDRAC8 with an Enterprise licence.

The front panel accepts up to eight 2.5-inch drives using SATA or SAS interfaces through the PERC H730 controller. Tool-less rail installation

Before shipment, BIOS and firmware are updated to the latest stable release and a full burn-in test is performed. Dual 495W power supplies provide redundancy for the 12th generation platform.
