The Dell PowerEdge R640 packs two Intel Xeon Gold 6134 3.2GHz 8-core processors and 128GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory into a 1U rack chassis. Eight 2.5-inch drive bays connect to a PERC H730P 2GB controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 750W platinum power supplies and iDRAC9 Enterprise provide redundancy and remote management. A quad-port network daughter card delivers two 1GbE and two 10Gb SFP+ links.
