The chassis provides four 3.5-inch drive bays and a PERC H740P RAID controller, while a 10 GbE 2-port 562T adapter handles network traffic. iDRAC9 Enterprise enables full remote management.

Sustained load with dual 750 W supplies

Dual 750 W power supplies share the load and provide redundancy during continuous operation. The 16-core CPU maintains its 2.3 GHz base frequency under extended multi-threaded workloads, supported by the large 22 MB cache. DDR4 ECC memory corrects single-bit errors in real time, preventing data corruption during long-running jobs. The PERC H740P controller offloads RAID parity calculations, keeping storage throughput stable when all four bays are populated.

Slide rails and cabling need planning

The server includes mounting rails on request, but the 36-inch depth requires a rack with sufficient clearance for cable routing at the rear. Drive carriers for the 3.5-inch bays must be ordered separately if not already on hand. Memory population follows specific channel rules; incorrect DIMM placement reduces bandwidth or prevents boot. The iDRAC9 Enterprise licence is pre-activated, yet initial network configuration still requires console access or a dedicated management LAN.
