Two Xeon Gold 6150 CPUs, each with 18 cores running at 2.70GHz, give 36 threads of Skylake-SP compute power. That core count and clock speed determine whether the box can sustain your virtual machine density, database concurrency or HCI node requirements. If the workload needs more cores per socket or higher single-thread frequency, this configuration will not meet the target.

8-Bay Chassis with Controller Included

The 8-bay 2.5-inch front tray set ships empty so you select the exact SSD or HDD mix the workload demands. H740P hardware RAID is factory-fitted, removing the need for a separate controller purchase and freeing a PCIe slot for additional networking or acceleration cards. Dual 10GbE X540 and dual 1GbE I350 ports are onboard, leaving expansion room for specialised interconnects. Drives, rails and operating system are not supplied.
