The Dell PowerEdge R650 is a 1U rack server populated with two Intel Xeon Gold 6330 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 28 cores. It ships with 512 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 16 DIMM slots. The system targets virtualisation hosts, dense private-cloud clusters and database tiers that demand high core counts in minimal rack space.

Ten-bay 2.5-inch SAS array with H755 RAID

Storage is provided by ten 600 GB 10K SAS drives connected to a Dell PERC H755 controller that carries 8 GB of non-volatile cache and a battery backup. The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, allowing the builder to choose the redundancy and performance profile the workload requires. No NVMe or SATA drives are included in this configuration.

Redundant 1400 W platinum supplies

Two hot-swap 1400 W platinum power supplies deliver full redundancy so the server remains online during a module failure or routine maintenance. The integrated iDRAC9 Enterprise controller provides out-of-band monitoring, remote console access and automated firmware updates without host OS involvement. Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1 GbE networking is standard on the OCP 3.0 mezzanine.
