The Dell PowerEdge R650 is a 1U rackmount server built for dense compute workloads such as virtualization, database hosting and private cloud deployments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors, each providing 32 cores at a 2.0 GHz base frequency with 3.2 GHz turbo capability. The system includes 64 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz registered ECC memory across four 16 GB modules. The PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.

Confirm that your rack provides sufficient depth for a 1U chassis with ready rails and that your network infrastructure can use the quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 adapter. The server includes ten 2.5-inch drive trays compatible with SAS and SATA devices; ensure any drives you plan to install match those interfaces. Power distribution must accommodate two 1400 W platinum-efficiency supplies with redundant hot-swap capability. Memory expansion uses DDR4 registered ECC modules up to the platform maximum.
