Compact 1U rack server for dense compute

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rackmount server built for data-center density. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6330 processors, each running at 2.0GHz with 28 cores and a 3.1GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 512GB of DDR4 2933MHz registered ECC memory across 16 DIMM slots. Eight 960GB SATA SSDs provide fast, reliable storage for virtualization, cloud infrastructure and high-performance computing workloads.

Dual 1400W platinum PSUs and front airflow

Redundant hot-swap 1400-watt platinum power supplies share the load and maintain uptime during a single-unit failure. The 1U chassis uses front-to-rear airflow tuned for rack rows, keeping both CPUs and the eight 2.5-inch drives within thermal limits under sustained load. Fan speeds scale with inlet temperature, so acoustic output remains consistent with typical server-room background noise rather than spiking during normal operation.

PERC H745 RAID, quad 1GbE and iDRAC9 Enterprise

The Dell PERC H745 controller adds 4GB of non-volatile cache with battery backup and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection. A Broadcom 5720 OCP 3.0 adapter delivers four 1GbE ports for management and workload traffic. iDRAC9 Enterprise provides full remote console, power control and firmware update capabilities without an operating system. ReadyRails and a front bezel are included for immediate rack installation.
