Dual Xeon Silver 4316 1U Server

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.4 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides 20 cores for a total of 40 cores, targeting virtualisation, cloud infrastructure and dense data-analytics workloads. The system includes 512 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across 16 DIMM slots and supports up to 1 TB maximum capacity.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous demand the dual 20-core processors maintain high throughput for multi-threaded applications such as hypervisor hosts and analytics clusters. The PERC H745 RAID controller with 4 GB NV cache and battery backup sustains write performance across RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 without data-loss risk during power interruption. Eight 1.92 TB SATA SSDs deliver consistent read bandwidth for database and content-delivery tasks.
