The Dell PowerEdge R660xs is a 1U rackmount chassis built for virtualization, cloud, scale-out database and HPC workloads. It accepts up to two Intel Xeon Scalable processors and provides sixteen DDR5 DIMM slots with a maximum capacity of 1.5 TB. No CPUs or memory modules are installed, so the buyer must populate both.
Flexible front and rear drive bays
The front panel supports either four 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drives up to 96 TB total, or ten 2.5-inch SAS, SATA or NVMe drives up to 153.6 TB total. An additional two 2.5-inch SAS, SATA or NVMe bays at the rear add up to 15.2 TB. No drives are included; the configuration chosen determines both capacity ceiling and interface mix.
