Sustained load behaviour with low-power CPUs

The 1.7 GHz base clock and 65 W TDP per processor keep thermal output moderate during continuous multi-threaded work such as hypervisor scheduling or large in-memory queries. Dual 495 W power supplies provide redundancy while the iDRAC8 Enterprise licence enables remote monitoring of temperatures, fan speeds and power draw without interrupting the operating system. Memory can scale to 768 GB if workloads grow beyond the installed 384 GB.

Installation notes and common pitfalls

The chassis measures 36 x 24 x 10 inches and weighs 40 pounds, so two-person racking or a mechanical lift is advised; rails are available on request but not included by default. No drives ship with the unit, so the installer must source compatible 3.5-inch SATA or SAS disks and configure RAID sets before deploying the OS. BIOS and firmware are updated to the latest stable release before dispatch, reducing first-boot surprises.
