The 8LFF chassis accepts up to eight 3.5-inch drives using SATA or SAS interfaces connected to the Dell PERC H730 RAID controller. Remote management is provided by iDRAC8 with an Enterprise licence for out-of-band monitoring and control. Dual 495 W power supplies deliver redundancy for continuous operation.

Fixed 768 GB memory ceiling

The platform reaches its memory limit at 768 GB across all DIMM slots, so workloads requiring more RAM cannot be accommodated on this model. Both processor sockets are already populated, leaving no room for CPU upgrades. Buyers who need greater memory headroom or additional processor capacity should evaluate larger platforms.
