Sustained throughput with dual 1100 W supplies

Under continuous load the twin 1100 W power supplies share current, keeping voltage rails stable when all 24 drives and both CPUs run at capacity. The 10 GbE and 1 GbE network ports maintain wire-speed traffic for replication or backup streams without saturating the bus. Integrated graphics and the iDRAC8 dedicated port stay responsive even during extended firmware updates or RAID rebuilds.

Slide-in rails and tool-less drive carriers

The server ships with a rail kit that mounts in standard square-hole racks; the chassis then slides in and locks with thumb screws, so one person can install it in minutes. Drive carriers are tool-less — squeeze the latch, insert a 2.5" SATA drive, and the backplane connects power and SAS automatically. The only common snag is forgetting to seat the carrier fully, which leaves the drive invisible to the PERC H730 until re-inserted.
