This 1U Dell EMC PowerEdge R740 ships with two Intel Gold 6132 processors at 2.6 GHz, each providing 14 cores and 19.25M cache. It includes 64 GB of DDR4 memory in four 16 GB modules running at 2666 MT/s. Six 1.92 TB SAS read-intensive SSDs are installed behind an H730P RAID controller. The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch drive bays and up to eight PCIe Gen 3 slots for expansion.

Suited for dense virtualisation

The dual 14-core configuration and 64 GB DDR4 suit virtualisation hosts, database nodes or HPC clusters that need high core density in a single rack unit. Redundant 1100 W power supplies and iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management support continuous operation.
