Sixteen 32 GB DDR4 registered ECC modules deliver 512 GB of memory across 24 slots. Eight 2.5-inch 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives connect to a PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache. A quad-port Intel X520/I350 daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ links. iDRAC9 Enterprise provides remote management.

SAS interface and controller define storage limits

The PERC H730P handles 12 Gb/s SAS and SATA traffic with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through modes. Eight front bays are populated with 2.4 TB 10K drives; no SSD bays are installed. Maximum memory capacity reaches 3 TB when all 24 DDR4 slots are filled. The LGA 3647 sockets support up to two processors, so CPU expansion stops at the current pair. Network throughput is capped by the two 10 Gb SFP+ and two 1 GbE ports on the daughter card.

Redundant power and rails simplify rack deployment

Dual 750 W platinum power supplies share load and allow hot-swap replacement without downtime. Ready Rails and a front bezel ship with the unit for quick cabinet mounting. The 2U height fits standard racks while leaving room for accelerator cards. iDRAC9 Enterprise enables out-of-band control over a dedicated network connection. Hot-swap drive carriers and power modules mean failed components can be swapped while the server stays online.
